HOW DOES THE POOL TIGER WORK

Pool Tiger was designed to harness an all-natural process known as Hydrodynamic Cavitation. In our device this process relies solely on the flow of water as driven by the pool pump.

Constructed of hardy thermoplastic, Pool Tiger has no moving parts. It does not require electricity nor does it contain any cartridges or other components that will ever require replacement.

    HYDRODYNAMIC CAVITATION

The effects of cavitation have been known for more than a hundred years, but only recently has this phenomenon been harnessed to provide several important benefits.

Cavitation in our device occurs when water accelerates within the device’s nozzle. This acceleration drops the pressure of the water below the vapor point, resulting in the formation of small vapor bubbles. As the vapor bubbles exit the nozzle, the pressure of the surrounding water causes them to rapidly collapse and revert to a liquid state once again.

This rapid change in water’s states of matter creates:
    - High levels of infrared energy (heat )
    - Intensive shock waves

    These factors are sufficient to:
    - Oxidize and destroy exposed contaminants – this improves sanitation and reduces the need for chemical treatment
    - Initiate the gradual decomposition of acids – this raises pH and eliminates excessive levels of cyanuric
    - Change the polarity of suspended particles, causing them to agglomerate to a size at which they are easily captured by the filter – this clarifies water and creates a more inviting swimming environment
    - Affect the bonds between the hydrogen and oxygen atoms which constitute water molecules - this produces a phenomenon known as "structured water"

It is important to note that the heat produced by cavitation is quickly absorbed by the surrounding water. As such, it does not raise the temperature in the pool by any measurable degree.

    STRUCTURED WATER

Most of the water on our planet is composed of small groups of water molecules randomly joined together by means of shared hydrogen atoms. These molecular groups are irregular in size and shape.

Under certain conditions, however, water molecules can join together in precisely configured groups consisting of sheets of hexagonal cells. Due to their well-defined structure these molecular groups are called “structured water.”

In extremely cold conditions the sheets of hexagonal cells are linked together by connecting protons, which confers solidity. Structured water formed under these conditions is known as ice.

In extremely warm conditions the sheets of hexagonal cells lack the connecting protons and thus they retain the property of liquidity.

In our device the extreme heat and intensive shock waves resulting from cavitation cause the hydrogen and oxygen atoms in affected water molecules to temporarily disassociate and then re-associate as the water cools. As they re-associate, they do so in sheets of hexagonal-shaped cells.

Whether solid or liquid, structured water is said to be exclusionary because it tends to reject any material that is not structured water. This is why icebergs, which are formed from salt water in the oceans, contain no salt.

In liquid form, structured water tends to collect at hydrophilic surfaces, such as pool walls, floors, pipes, equipment and even the surface of the water itself. There it will reject any material that is not structured water.

Pool Tiger is very easy to install. It ships fully assembled with unions and requires no electricity. Unless a loop is required due to space considerations on existing equipment sets, an experienced installer should be able to complete the installation within 15 minutes.

On new pools, the Pool Tiger should be installed last on the return line. On existing pools with a heater, it should be installed before the heater on the return line. If the return line is too short to install the Pool Tiger in line, use 8 elbow fittings and extra pipework to create a loop. Pool Tiger can be installed horizontally, vertically or diagonally.

IMPORTANT: Pool Tiger will not work if not installed in the incorrect direction.

POOL TIGER INSTALLATION VIDEO FROM R C MAINTENANCE BASED IN BEXLEY

Pool Tiger does not need a separate electrical supply, but operates on the flow of water as driven by the pool pump. It activates at a minimum flow rate of 1.8m3 per hour. In essence, the device converts the energy provided by the pump into a variety of benefits.

The more the pump runs, the more Pool Tiger is doing to sanitize, clarify and enhance water quality as well as protecting pool surfaces from buildup and staining. Should heavy bather loads, inclement weather, algae infestation or other conditions detrimentally impact water quality, we recommend that pump run times and flow rates be temporarily increased until water quality improves.
