The main reason for choosing Bromine instead of Chlorine to use as the sanitiser in your spa is that Bromine will kill bacteria and viruses at higher temperatures and a wider pH range than Chlorine.

The active ingredient, 1-bromo 3-chloro 5.5 Demethyl Hydantoin will produce Hypobromous Acid. This is the chemical that kills and destoys the bacteria and pathogens in spa water.
