Even if an Intex filter is washed out and looks clean the microscopic holes are blocked, making the Intex filter totally useless. A blocked Intex Pool cartridge filter will increase the pressure inside the pump and quickly wear out the motor shortening the lifespan of the pump dramatically.

Repair Kits & Patches For Intex & Bestway Pools

Even though Intex Metal Frame & Easy Set Pools are the best you can buy accidents do happen. Swimming Pool repair kits for Intex Pools are designed specifically for Intex & Bestway style pools and will repair minor tears and holes.

The Glue & Patch repair kit are the strongest and come with a tube of PVC weld adhesive and a large clear rectangular patch. The Glue & Repair Patch Kit can even be used underwater with the pool not needing to be emptied, so if you need to repair both sides of the liner this is the kit to buy. The Glue & Patch Kit should even be able to repair the top ring of an easy set or fast set pool.

The Peel & Patch repair kits are designed purely for small holes on the liner wall. These cannot be used underwater so the pool would have to be emptied first.

Keeping your pool clean can be very hard indeed so Intex have produced these easy to use Swimming Pool Cleaning Maintenance Kits. The cheapest option is the easy to use Venturi-Vac style cleaner which works using a standard garden hose. Another choice is the fantastic Swimming Pool Vacuum cleaner that attaches to an Intex pump that filters more than 800 gallons per hour, generally these pumps are fitted to Intex pools that are 15ft and larger, but larger replacement pumps can be bought for smaller pools if you would like to have the cleanest pool in your street. Filters should be changed regularly for this vacuum to function to its fullest capability.
