Infrared Saunas
Unlike traditional Finnish style saunas, infrared saunas don’t use steam. Instead they use infrared radiation to directly heat the sauna occupants. Infrared radiation doesn’t heat the air, it heats the body by a process called conversion. Many claim that infrared saunas provide health benefits as the heat penetrates around 1.5 inches or 40mm into the body. This is claimed to help release toxins from fat cells which are then released from the body by sweating.
